Floor lamps under $60

Lighting makes such a difference to both your decor, your home’s ambiance and your eye strain. It’s one of the cheapest things you can use to – literally – brighten up your home. The beauty of floor lamps is that they don’t need to take up space on end tables. And, to me at least, they always look so classy. Most floor lamps will cost you a minimum of $100, but I set myself a challenge to find some under $60.

The Spring Arm Fuzzy Lantern from LumiSource (pictured) is $45, and will create a diffuse light from within the paper lantern shade. I don’t know if everyone loves paper lanterns as much as I do, but I love the look of them, and the way the light is tinted by the color of the shade.

The Drummond Floor Lamp ($55) also gives off diffuse light aimed at the ceiling. If you’ve never had a floor lamp in this style, it may seem like it wouldn’t light the room much. But you’d be surprised how much light it adds. And the adjustable side reading light gives you plenty of light in a directed glow for reading or knitting.

What makes this particular lamp so unique is the leather shelves on the side. Such a cool look!
