Alternate uses for toy hammocks

You probably already know a toy hammock is a great way to store toys out of the way.You tack it to the walls in a corner or between two bedposts, and it hangs like a hammock, way up off the floor. You put stuffed animals and other lightweight toys in there, arrange them cutely, and now they look nice and tidy without taking up any space. Even a toy chest takes up some of the room – this solution takes up some of the unused space near the ceiling. It’s pretty brilliant. And it’s cheap, and it looks good – what more could you want? Put a step stool under it, and the kids can even get their own toys down – and put them away.

But there’s actually more you can do with these toy hammocks.

Toy hammocks: not just for toys

These things are also great for storing lightweight holiday garlands. You know those long strung-together things that don’t like to go in boxes and are always getting stuck to the tape? String one of these hammocks up across the top of a storage closet or garage, then pile your garlands on top.
